Leicester Autumn League – October 13th 2018

CASC selected team members had the First Round of the Leicester Autumn League. The team consisted of swimmers aged 9 upwards competing in relays and individual races. The Leagues are always extremely exciting and fun to be involved with as you never know what races you will be swimming until the night! CASC came first on the night competing against Leicester Neptunes, Kettering and Melton Mowbray – we are looking forward to the challenges of Round 2!

The County Camps – 2018

CASC are delighted to announce that they have x 2 swimmers who have been offered a place on this weeks NASA County Camps:

Violet Baker and Rhiannon Dunkley

These swimmers were selected from their placings at the County Championships earlier on in the year. The camps are held over three days in Northampton for swimmers under 11yrs and they will work on skills, strength and nutrition.

The Regional Camps – 2018

CASC have two swimmers who has made the Regional Camp; Sophy Kendall and Sam Cooke. These camps are run by Swim England held over 3 days at different venues Moulton and Loughborough. The swimmers are taken from their positions on the ASA Rankings at Regional Level aged 11-12yrs.

This is showing recognition for their achievements and they have to be in the top 24.

The focus at these camps are similar to the County Camps but slightly more intense over three days.

The National Pathway Programme- Phase One 2018

CASC have one swimmer who has achieved places on these Swim England camps; Archie Evans

These camps are run by Swim England and are held over three days at Chesterfield with swimmers are selected from the TOP of the British Rankings and split into regions. Selection for these camps is a testament to the hard work undertaken and the fantastic results achieved.

The National County Team Championships on October 7th 2018

CASC had 4 swimmers (Louis Mitchell, Archie Evans, Libby Evans and David Gillespie) who were selected to represent the County with other swimmers from the clubs within our County. The Championships comprised of 1 team from each of the 39 English Counties and Welsh/ Scottish Regions. Northamptonshire (NASA) is the 2nd smallest county in the country.

The event was held at Sheffield Ponds Forge where the pool was split into two 25m pools and the teams were in two divisions. The events each held 2 heats in each of the divisions and were swam concurrently. NASA were division 1, however the team performed amazingly and they retained their place in Division 1 in 15th place. Well done to our team who helped the County achieve such a great success.
