Corby Swimming Club enjoyed a fantastic weekend of racing at the 2025 East Midlands Regional Short Course Championships, held between the 2nd and 3rd of November 2024 at the Harvey Hadden Sports Village. The atmosphere was electric across the two-day competition, with some of the strongest swimmers in the region battling for regional titles, personal bests and Winter National qualification times.

A total of 28 Corby swimmers qualified for the prestigious event, a huge achievement in itself. Together, they clocked up 114 individual swims, demonstrating both depth and commitment across the two age groups. Corby athletes secured 32 finals appearances, showing their ability to perform under pressure and rise to the challenge when it mattered most.

The club is proud to celebrate 8 medal-winning performances, a brilliant outcome against incredibly tough competition. Notably, the Over-17 category featured swimmers from Loughborough Performance, one of the UK’s leading high-performance centres. Racing against competitors who train and compete at Olympic standard made reaching finals an outstanding accomplishment for Corby’s senior swimmers.

Throughout the weekend, the team displayed determination, resilience, and plenty of team spirit, cheering each other on from the stands and celebrating every success, big or small. Many swimmers came away with personal best times and valuable experience that will fuel their progress as the season continues.

Head Coach Craig Mitchell praised the entire squad, expressing his pride in how they represented the club both in and out of the pool.

The team are looking forward to building on this success as preparations continue for an exciting winter season ahead.
